My journeys

I, myself, have traveled many layers.

That's why I know so much about them.

I've traveled through portals I found in our world, or dreams, or substance use. Yes, those, too, can transport you onto other layers, although not every dream is a travel.

Traveling via dream is also much less dangerous, since your body stays in your reality, and so it's easier for your spirit to return. But don't be fooled, even dreams are known to make you mad.

Substance use can, if you're not careful, separate your mind from your body, leaving behind an empty shell while your spirit is trapped on another layer, or worse even, rip your spirit apart and leave fragments on multiple layers. I've encountered such poor souls on my travels, and sadly there's no way to help them.

Not all layers are dangerous. There are as many pleasant layers as there are horrible ones. Some made me remember my childhood. Some made me afraid of things I hadn't even considered before. Some gave me a warm feeling in my chest, some squeezed my heart until I was sure I would die. You rarely know the full truth before, but you can prepare. Observe the rip. Research the location and what caused it. See how it behaves at different times, during different conditions. Pack accordingly. I always recommend sturdy boots, a blanket, water and snacks, flashlight, rope, disinfectant, and a first aid kit, unless something you've observed speaks against it.

Most importantly, DON'T GO ALONE!!! Find someone who's experienced with traveling and let him or her guide you. If you don't know what you're doing, you might not find your way back.
